Pumpkin spice and apple cider flavors are everywhere —from the grocery store aisles to your local donut or coffee shop— reminding you that autumn should be here. However, this weekend, only those in the Northwest and Rockies will need those autumn jackets and fleeces.

The weekend's TemperatureRadar shows the orange and red hues of late summer throughout the Southwest, southern Plains and across the South and into the East. These places haven't had a break from summer heat yet, and the 14-day forecast doesn't show many changes either.

Cooler changes arrive Sunday for the Northwest, northern Rockies and eventually the northern Plains. A cold front diving south out of Canada will drop afternoon highs into the 50s and 60s on Sunday. These autumn-like temperatures will stick around into early next week, increasing the urge to order up a warm pumpkin spice drink.
