Severe and wintry weather will be present over the next few days. Now is the time to update your alert settings to make sure you are receiving the latest information.

When wintry or severe weather is forecast for your area, Weather & Radar has you covered. Our top-of-the-line alerting system within our app can help give you peace of mind when beginning preparations prior to a weather event.

Using local radar data, weather models, and a threat assessment tool, the service is designed to provide you with the most accurate and localized alerts.

As the forecast for wintry or stormy weather comes together, the alerting system can notify you up to 36 hours before the start of the event in your area. This notification will remain on your app home screen throughout the event as well to keep up to date.

Keeping notifications turned “on” also allows you to receive important weather information for your current location or even for a specific location you’re keeping an eye on. Are you in New York but have family in Texas? You can receive alerts for their specific location, so you have the latest on their weather situation even thousands of miles away.

Make sure all the settings on your device are updated to allow alerts too.

When you get the alert, you can keep up with the weather in real time as it approaches the area on our interactive WeatherRadar. This feature can show you the forecast radar up to 4 days out so you are always weather-aware!
