Damaging winds and large hail are the main threats for Tuesday's storms.

An enhanced risk has been issued ahead of today's severe storms. Damaging winds and large hail are the main risks, but a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out.

Dallas, Shreveport, La., Little Rock, Ark., Memphis, Tenn., and Jackson, Miss., are all in Tuesday's strongest risk for the severe storms, but those from I-75 in Oklahoma through Chattanooga, Tenn., and through Alabama could see severe storms today.

The WeatherRadar shows thunderstorm activity picking up even before lunchtime in the Arklatex today and gaining traction throughout the afternoon due to the daily heating.
