Plus strong storms
Snow for Western Peaks

A powerful storm system is bringing rain, snow and below-average temperatures to the Western half of the country.

It's snowing in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah, and other high elevations in the Western half of the nation are seeing flakes fly. This is all due to a powerful storm system, which you can see on the WeatherRadar.

This storm system will also spark strong thunderstorms across parts of the High Plains and Rockies today, with the highest risk stretching from Montana south into eastern Colorado and western Kansas. All types of severe weather are possible, but damaging wind gusts are the main threat.
