Strong cold front
Tornadic storms impact FL Panhandle

A strong cold front sweeping across the Southeast stirred up tornadic storms across the Florida Panhandle.

Storm activity is still expected throughout the afternoon on Thursday, but already, a few tornado-warned storms brought gusty winds and heavy rain. The WeatherRadar shows the strong cells that produced plenty of lightning activity.

Strong south and southwesterly flow has been bringing in plentiful Gulf moisture, which has fed these severe storms. The WindRadar shows the boundary where the cold front has been sweeping the Sunshine State.

WindRadar: Southwesterly and southerly flow are bringing plenty of Gulf moisture in to feed the strong thunderstorms.
