Dicey PM commute for I-95
Strong storms blow into the NE

Strong storms are possible this afternoon and evening, especially along I-95 in the Northeast.

A cold front, visible on both the TemperatureRadar and the WeatherRadar, will bring more than just cooler temperatures in its wake; it will also continue to spark off showers and storms. This front will meet up with some upper level energy in the Northeast to produce a few stronger storms this afternoon and evening.

Cities that could see a messy afternoon commute include Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Damaging winds are the main concern. These storms may lead to a few power outages as trees and limbs may be toppled as storms push through.

A few heavy downpours may also lead to localized flooding, especially in the Mid-Atlantic. Keep an eye on the WeatherRadar and remember to turn around, don't drown when you come across a flooded road.
