Weather & Radar's Task Force is activated. Severe storm risk extends from Texas to the western Great Lakes. A big threat of large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes are possible, especially across the central Plains. Flash flooding is also a significant concern today across the South.

Meteorologist Irene Sans is operating the forecast desk and will be providing forecast updates for Weather & Radar and for Weather & Radar in Español. Federico Di Catarina will produce the impacts and expected threats via multimedia. Meteorologist Mary Mays will have frequent updates on our social media, while meteorologist James West will be updating the Live blog.
