Extreme heat has been pounding parts of the South this week, and it may feel like there's no end in sight. While our TemperatureRadar shows the heat sticking around for the next four days, our 14-day trend shows an end to the heat for some.

The WeatherRadar shows a heat dome anchored over the Southwest, keeping temperatures well above average through the weekend. Miami even saw 100 degrees on Tuesday, something that hasn't happened since 1942!

While Miami is not going to see the triple digits again today, the 90s are anticipated to stick around over the next 14 days. Dallas will continue to sweat, but closer-to-normal highs move in by the middle of next week.

Phoenix will stay in the triple digits over the next two weeks. While New Orleans is expected to stay hot and sticky, parts of the Mid-South, like Nashville, will see some relief.
