The current path of the storm takes it close to Jamaica tomorrow, where Tropical Storm Warnings are in place. The Cayman Islands will also experience worsening conditions tomorrow into Wednesday as Rafael strengthens into a category 1 hurricane by tomorrow afternoon.

Western Cuba is under a Hurricane Watch, with impacts from Rafael expected on Wednesday. The Florida Keys are also under a Tropical Storm Watch and may feel impacts Wednesday into Thursday.

As this storm moves into the Gulf later in the week, it is expected to weaken. Any impacts to the northern Gulf Coast will likely be felt late this weekend or early next week. Keep an eye on Rafael using the WeatherRadar and the WindRadar.
