Tropical activity lacks, it will change

Enjoy what could be the last weekend of not monitoring the tropics. Although we do not expect tropical activity for the next 7 days, this doesn't mean that we won't be monitoring tropical waves.

The tropics remain quiet this weekend. There is a surge of tropical moisture that will be arriving to South Florida on Saturday enhancing the chance for pronounced, widespread showers and thunderstorms this weekend, but luckily there will not be any tropical development out of this.

The next name on the list for this season is Emily

Next week there will be more tropical waves emerging from Africa. There is still uncertainty on whether any of these waves will develop or not, but regardless there is plenty of time to monitor them.

Our team of meteorologists will be closely watching any development and you can count on our task force to be activated if a tropical system comes to threaten the U.S. at any point this season.
