Tropical Update
Two areas of interest in the Atlantic

While we are inching closer to the official end of hurricane season, that doesn't mean that development isn't possible in the tropics. We have our eyes on two areas of interest in the Atlantic basin this week.

We are monitoring two areas of interest in the Atlantic basin this week. One is located just southeast of Bermuda and has a 40 percent chance of development over the next seven days as it drifts east. This system will take a turn to the north toward the end of that seven-day period.

Tropical outlook

We are also tracking an area of interest in the central Caribbean. An area of low pressure is expected to move slowly west, but the chances of tropical development are low only around 10 percent. However, this system will bring some rain to Central America.

While neither system is expected to be a threat to the U.S., it's an excellent reminder that storms can form late in the season. Keep it here for the latest updates and track any new developments with our WeatherRadar.
