WATCH: PTC 1 impacts Miami

Potential Tropical Cyclone One is heading off the eastern Florida Coast, but not after leaving behind several inches of rain, debris, flooding, and some damage to the Miami area.

Although still a Potential Tropical Cyclone, the system brought many impacts to southern Florida, including Miami. Reports of more than 13 inches of rain have come in from the Biscayne Park since Thursday morning when the outer bands first reached the Sunshine State.

Flood advisories are in effect in the Miami area until Saturday evening as the system moves off the northeast into the Atlantic. Forecasts from the National Hurricane Center are calling for the season's first named storm, Tropical Storm Alex, to form once it's fully back in the water.
