Terrifying images show water crashing through a ferry's windows during a potent storm.

On Wednesday, a powerful winter storm (coined "Dudley") brought hurricane-force winds, landslides, hail, and storm surge to northern Europe. In the midst of the storm, a harbor ferry in Germany encountered rough waves and strong winds, resulting in serious damage.

The footage shows the frightened passengers frozen in shock before running for safety, fleeing the rushing water. At least three people appeared to be knocked out of their seats by the deluge in the front. The ferry was said to be battling fierce waves and 96 mile-per-hour winds (equivalent to a category two hurricane) before one wave finally overtook the boat's bow.
