Storm surge impacting Texas

Tropical storm Alberto sent water onshore in coastal Texas. This live blog kept you up-to-date throughout the day.

In addition to coastal flooding from storm surge, inland flooding is another thing Weather & Radar's expert meteorologists are keeping an eye on. With rain totals up to 10 inches through Thursday, flash flooding is a concern.

Up to 4 feet of storm surge is possible from Sargent to Sabine, Texas. Galveston Bay could also see up to 4 feet of surge. Moderate coastal flooding is ongoing.

A storm surge is already moving into Surfside, Texas. As our tropical system inches closer, more coastal and inland flooding is expected through Thursday.
