From hurricanes and blizzards to tornadoes and wildfires, 2024 was a wild year of weather. Let's take a look at the most viral weather videos from this past year.

A deadly tornado occurred across the Plains from April 25 to 28, 2024. There were 168 tornadoes, including a deadly EF-3 that moved through historic Suflur, Okla.

Another tornado outbreak made news in January as powerful storms rocked the Southeast. In Panama City Beach, Fla., a three-story home was tipped over and left leaning against a neighboring house after a powerful tornadic waterspout moved ashore. This tornado received an EF-3 rating.

Hurricane Helene made landfall as a Category 4 storm on the Florida Gulf Coast on Sept. 26. Helene caused catastrophic flooding across the southern Appalachians, widespread wind damage from the Gulf Coast to the North Carolina mountains and storm surge flooding along portions of western Florida.

Multiple lake effect snow events have rocked the Great Lakes this year, and in late November, residents of Erie, Penn., had to dig their way out of feet of snow.
