While heavy rains impacted the upper Texas Coast for several days, a storm dipped into West Texas, and its stationary front is causing big Texas problems to start the week.

Our WeatherRadar on Tuesday morning shows that heavy rains continue to affect West Texas on Tuesday after producing flash floods on Labor Day. On Monday, Fluvanna, Texas, and Andrews, Texas, received 6.23 and 4.59 inches of rain, respectively. The heavy rains make the morning commute extra dangerous this morning, as rains have not stopped for all night, and many more roads will be flooded.

The stationary front will continue to bring rounds of heavy rains, especially along I-20, passing through Midland, Texas, where some areas could receive another 3 inches of rain. The heavy rains will expand toward The Metroplex, where the more copious rains will be focused along western portions out toward San Antonio and Austin.

Since Sunday and counting today's rains, some areas could receive up to 9 inches of rain in total. Make sure to track the showers and storms in our WeatherRadar. Remember to turn around, don't drown. Two feet of water could make most vehicles float away, and floodwaters could be deeper than anticipated.
