Wind, snow drifts across Erie, Pa.

A one-two punch of an Alberta Clipper rolling across the Northeast and an accompanying arctic blast is producing lake-effect snow across northwestern Pennsylvania.

The WeatherRadar shows waves of heavy snow rolling across the Northeast and the common lake-effect snow belts from northeastern Ohio northeastward into western New York. The WindRadar shows a fierce northwest find enhancing the lake-effect snow.

As the video above shows, Erie, Pa., has significant snow accumulations with fierce winds causing major drifts.

The arctic blast will settle across the South, bringing sub-freezing temperatures to the Gulf Coast and northern Florida.
