Breakfast Brief
Wednesday's forecast copies Tuesday's

The WeatherRadar looks very similar to Tuesday's as showers and storms dot the eastern two-thirds map. Additionally, things are heating up even more across the Southeast! The Breakfast Brief is published Monday through Friday at 5:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

Rain showers and thunderstorms dot the map across the South and into the Plains today. Severe thunderstorms are in the forecast in the Plains, specifically from Amarillo to south of Fort Stockton, Texas, similar to Tuesday's dry line set-up.

Isolated flooding is also possible in the same areas across the central and southern Plains and down into the South and Southeast. Storms with heavy downpours will train over the same areas that have been getting plentiful rainfall in the last 24 hours. Have at least three ways to receive weather warnings.

By the late evening, storms will push into the lower Great Lakes but severe storms are not expected. Keep a close eye on the WeatherRadar.

A small low pressure in northern California and southern Oregon will keep the rain and mountain snow machine going. Also seeing rain and mountain snow are residents in places like the northern Great Basin and the High Plains.

Now for the heat. Records could be tied in the Sunshine State again as highs head into the 90s. Across the rest of the Southeast, temperatures will be running as much as 10 degrees above average! See the TemperatureRadar for the details.
