Hazy skies have been spotted across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic as Canadian wildfire smoke rides in along northerly and northwesterly winds.

Did you know that wildfire smoke can travel hundreds of miles? Smoke from wildfires in Canada is currently bringing hazy skies and lowered air quality to the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Cities like New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., may experience lowering air quality due to this smoke.

The WindRadar shows the north and northwest flow that is bringing this wildfire smoke into the U.S. The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic aren't the only regions being impacted by smoke. Ongoing wildfires in the West continue to lower air quality in Washington and Oregon.
