Kerrville, Texas
Baseball-size hail pounds Texas

Severe storms rolled through southern Texas through the Mississippi Valley Sunday afternoon and overnight bringing heavy rain and damaging winds. Large hail also accompanied the storms.

Of the more than 95 filtered severe weather reports, hail dominated the list as severe storms rumbled through on Sunday. Kerrville, Texas, received some of the largest hailstones between golf ball size and baseball size - that's 2.75 inches maximum!

While this was mostly a hail event, damaging winds were included and gusted up to 83 mph! Not to be outdone, one tornado was reported in Rolling Fork, Miss., - a second hit for the town where an EF4 tornado caused significant damage back in 2023.
