Severe storms are impacting the southern Plains early Tuesday, and one slow-moving storm is producing thousands of lightning strikes.

The LightningRadar is lighting up! Have you checked what the storm activity in northern Texas and southern Oklahoma looks like on Tuesday morning? Many have just gotten to their offices or classrooms for the day, and the atmosphere is already very active.

These specific storms are erupting right along a warm front along the Texas-Oklahoma border, where plentiful water vapor and heat energy are available.

The WeatherRadar shows severe storms erupting throughout the afternoon as a disturbance shifts to the east. Flooding rains are part of today's impacts as well.
