Strong storms stretched from the southern Plains to the Upper Midwest on Monday, and a renewed threat of severe weather is in place today from Texas to New York.

Severe storms stretched from the southern Plains to the Upper Midwest on Monday, and a renewed threat of severe weather is in place today from Texas to New York.

There were more than 100 reports of severe weather yesterday, with most of those reports being hail or damaging winds. A barrage of hail hit Blanchard, Okla., yesterday and ominous clouds were spotted in Swea City, Iowa.

The WeatherRadar shows strong storms today firing up from Texas to New York. Cities like Midland and Lubbock, Texas, Oklahoma City, Columbus, Ohio, Nashville, Tenn., Louisville, Ky., Pittsburgh, Penn., and Buffalo, N.Y., are all at risk of severe storms today.
