5.2-Magnitude earthquake near San Diego

According to the USGS, a preliminary 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck near San Diego at 10:08 a.m. The epicenter of the quake was 2.49 miles south of Julian, Calif., northeast of San Diego.

A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck northeast of San Diego, causing shaking across Southern California, including in the Inland Empire.

The 8.32-mile-deep earthquake was felt as far away as Los Angeles. Multiple aftershocks ranging between 2.5 and 3.0 magnitude followed the initial quake.

No tsunami is expected as a result of this quake.
