1,000 miles of torrential downpours

Our WeatherRadar shows an impressive 1,000-mile area of heavy downpours in the forecast today. Find out if you are at risk of flash flooding.

We showed you flash flooding in the Dallas metro yesterday; today, heavy downpours may create similar scenes in Texas cities like Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. You will want to keep a close eye on the RainRadar in these areas. Remember, purple indicates heavy rain.

The WeatherRadar shows heavy rain just west of the San Antonio metro this morning and much more is on the way as we head into the rest of Tuesday.

There are two areas of particular interest to Weather & Radar's expert meteorologists. Central Texas into Louisiana and western Mississippi and North Carolina into southern Virginia are two regions where flash flooding is most likely to occur today.
