Tornado touches down near Columbia

On February 12, a tornado struck near Columbia, Mississippi, causing widespread disruption and triggering weather alerts across the region.

The National Weather Service placed much of southern Mississippi under a Tornado Watch as severe storms swept through, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and potential flash flooding.

Early reports indicate damage to trees and power lines, with some buildings affected.

Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported so far, but recovery efforts are underway to assess the full extent of the damage.
