Breakfast brief
Soaked on both coasts

Isolated severe storms and flooding are in the forecast for parts of the South and East. Additionally, a new storm system enters the West Coast, and winter sticks around in the upper Midwest.

Did you know?

Florida is one of the warmest spots in the U.S. to spend spring break. Check it out on the TemperatureRadar.

Today's weather outlook

A stubborn frontal system will keep the East Coast stuck in a wet pattern Wednesday, with more flooding possible in the Southeast. Southwesterly flow from the Gulf of Mexico will keep the Florida Panhandle soaked, causing more spring break trouble.

In the Upper Midwest, winter holds a tight grip with snow in the forecast as the latest winter storm finally makes its way out. Temperatures will only be in the low-to-mid-20s to boot.

Finally, a Pacific storm will usher lower-elevation rain and mountain snow across the West Coast and northern Rockies. Winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings are in effect for the northern Sierra Nevada.

  • Southeast rain update: isolated to scattered flooding possible
