Who's above average
Spring-like warmth for many

This week, much of the country will see above-average or near-average temperatures, which is a nice break from the recent arctic blast. However, winter will return for some.

The TemperatureRadar shows above-average temperatures across the country today except for the Rockies and South Florida. The Rockies and parts of the northern Plains will be the coolest today, with highs in the 20s and 30s. Texas and the Southwest will be the warmest with 70s, 80s and even some 90s!

Wednesday's high temperatures.

Enjoy the warmth while it lasts! Cooler temperatures will return to the Northeast and West Coast this weekend. Take a look at Boston. Temperatures will plunge by Sunday, with highs going from the upper 40s on Saturday to 20s on Sunday.

A similar temperature drop will also impact New York and Washington, D.C. Highs in New York will be near 60 on Saturday and drop to near freezing on Sunday.

A less intense cooldown is coming for the West Coast this weekend. Cloud cover and rain from our next Pacific storm will keep temperatures 5-10 degrees below average in cities like Los Angeles, Sacramento and Eureka, Calif.
