Strong storms in areas already hard hit

Parts of the Mid-South and Ohio Valley are still reeling from flooding and severe storms. Another severe threat is gearing up for Thursday, and intense storms may impact these regions again.

On Thursday, the WeatherRadar shows the potential for scattered strong storms across the Mid-South and Tennessee Valley. Cities like Birmingham, Ala., Memphis and Nashville, Tenn., and Paducah, Ky., are at risk of severe weather.

Over the weekend and last week, flooding and severe weather rocked many in this region. Many rivers are still in flood stage, and numerous communities are cleaning up after tornadoes and severe winds.
