Swirling Pacific low, rainy impacts ahead

A well-organized low pressure can be seen swirling off the California Coast Monday morning. Although sunshine is in Monday's forecast, this little low will make SoCal residents want an umbrella on Tuesday.

Have you seen the WeatherRadar? Apart from soggy and stormy weather in the Southeast and a bit of rain and snow in the Northwest, a picturesque low-pressure can be seen churning just off the southern California coastline.

Our WeatherRadar shows everything from cloud cover to rain and snow to current temperatures, but it can also give you an idea of your near-term forecast based on the weather features present, like today's low pressure. This may have SoCal residents thinking rain is coming, and they would be right!

As this low pressure moves east, rain chances increase for Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Diego and Indio, Calif., on Tuesday. Check your hourly weather forecast to know when the wet weather begins to push inland.

Most of the West can also get a good idea of what's ahead within the 4-day forecast on the WeatherRadar. Just behind this little low, a larger storm system poses everything from damaging winds and flooding rains to mountain snow. Impacts begin Tuesday afternoon in the Pacific Northwest first. Take a peak here.
