Storm exits the Northeast, benign week?

Breakfast brief
Storm exits the Northeast, benign week?

The weather starts off this week mostly mild, with a storm exiting the Northeast and toasty temps for the Southwest. The Breakfast Brief is published daily, Monday through Friday, at 5:00 a.m. Eastern time.

The low-pressure system exits the Great Lakes and moves over the Northeast on Monday. Its front moves the rains from west to east along the Mid-Atlantic and the Tri-State region through New England. Snow will be confined over New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine during the afternoon. Showers and snow will taper late evening into Tuesday across the region, but with still a few lingering, scattered for Tuesday as the main spin leaves the area.

Wet morning and lunch across the Northeast.

The front will fizzle out as it moves through Florida, and the little moisture left will move with it. On Sunday, the winds will stay mainly from the south along most of the state, allowing the temperatures to rise gradually through the beginning of the week.

The winds will shift across the Southwest and impact the region. Temperatures will rise into the 90s across southern Arizona, and even the interior Empire in Southern California could experience temperatures in the 90s. The winds will be from the west as a low-pressure system moves toward the Four Corner region.
